I think punk lives on in the older generations but the youth of today basically .......think punk is greenday and blink 182 here are just a few the rammones the sex pistols the clash LET PUNK LIVE ON!!!!!!!!
I've never been a fan of the Sex Pistols but still love classics like Dead Kennedys and Black Flag (I despise Rollins but he was my favourite frontman for BF). I like a lot of the newer hc too. Fucked Up, Career Suicide, Terminal State etc
It Dont Matter If I Can Spell It Cause It Punk You Dont Have To Spell Or Anything You Just Have To Rebel And Have A Good Time !
owned him! lol well, always when i listen my the clash Cds i realize that the punk will be always alive oh has great new punk bands too..like death from above 1979
The yonger generation have thier own new genres to follow. Punk has influenced a lot of the US punk/ska rock acts like blink 182 etc.
Poorest excuse ever. If you like or love a band like you pretend to do, you can at least spell its name. And if you're so punky and such a rebel, then how come you care about young "teen" mothers? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=732276 You're a joke, kid...
If your comparing to Hip Hop or rap even country is better - But yea its alive theres still millionaire punk bands thats enough to say it is
boring , i missed out a m big woop , and you kick up so much fuss and yes im 23 and 2 diplomas and passed all subjects with a+ and a's so whos laughing now haha you are getting boring go and eat dog shit , because thats all that comes out your mouth ..... no one cares what you think ...exept the lowlifes....and by the way what would you know about punk what punk band came from your country???
When looking at the grammar of this post of yours: I'd be surprised if you went to school at all. But wait, now you're making even less sense. You say spelling doesn't matter 'cause you're a rebel, but yet you passed all your grammar subjects with a+? Furthermore, you named the only 3 punk bands that come up in the first paragraph on Wikipedia? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punk_rock In the same order? Coincidence? And we're lowlifes and you're a "highlife rebel punker"? Poser much? Oh, and for the record, I'm German! Anywayyy... I'm out. I can already hear the infractions fly. Have a nice life, punkerboy.
"Punk" is still alive in a different way. It can't be the same way that The Clash and The Ramones identified as "punk" because today it's not a new term or a new form of music. The Ramones and the Clash were "new" in their times.
