Co-op to use yahoo or msn?

Currently co-op is based on the results on google. What have come into my mind is that is it possible to make a one-of-it's-kind advertising network that uses not only google, but also yahoo and msn.

from my point of view, some sites that are putting up co-op ads are doing well with yahoo and msn but not google. The fact that those links that were shown on the site did benefit from it in other search engines.

I know that google is the big daddy here, but we couldnt ignore yahoo and msn either. Maybe a contribution of 70/20/10?

Just my humble opinion. It may not be very hard for shawn to do this seeing the successful of the current co-op.

Let's share your opinion about this. :) this is just a suggestion and let us know what do you think.

I like it, as it would mean we wouldn't have to wait 3 months until the next PR update to get weight from new sites.

Gimme an example of a site that is spidered well by Yahoo/MSN but not Google.

The whole point of using (just) Google is Google is better at weeding out spam.

Hmm .. you have got a good point there :)

    site:seochat.com in G = 153k
    site:seochat.com in Y! = 212K

lol .. although that doesnt prove that seochat.com is not well spidered by google. :D

seochat.com isn't in the ad network, so that's not a good example anyway.

I agree that a blend of Google / Yahoo should be used.

My reasoning is this. The Google API has been known to fluctuate wildly. I have had sites that have weight of 25k one day and 5k the next. The wildly fluctuating weight means links to sites fluctuate and may appear spammy to google filters. Blending the numbers would make things more stable IMO.

Besides that, links from the coop assist in yahoo rankings as well. That blend would reflect that.

    Here is a perfect example.

One site of mine just jumped in wieght from 9,900 to 25,000.

Of course, it was at 30k 2 weeks ago.

It's not really an example without a URL. :)

Hmmm... it looks like a lot of it might be falling to Supplemental. Do you have any external deep links to your stuff?

Its wierd. It all depends on the datacenter it seems. For example - look here

And yes, I have many links outside of the coop - deep links as well. But for some reason (as im sure you can see Shawn) My weight is all over the place sometimes, dramatic changes. Not from 900 to 800, but from 30k to 10k to 25k -- just all over the place.
