Stats for NETWORK of Sites

Discussion in 'General Business' started by Dreamerr, Feb 29, 2008.

Hi, I know stats have been discussed here before but Im still looking for a package that is easy to install on a network of 6+ sites at a time.

I don't like how with analytics and statcounter you need to make a new project for each domain, I would like 1 project for the whole network.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It's more about the accuracy of the stats and not about how quick you can install the stats software to monitor each site. I know for sure that I would prefer good quality stats that has great accuracy rather than something simple where the stats are very inaccurate just because it's quick to set up.

Thanks for the reply John, I agree that accuracy is probably more important then ease of set up. I should have also emphasized that my main need for a single tracking code is to observe these mini-network sites as a whole, not just individual sites. This set of 6 sites basically acts as 1 site so using 6 counters would be like putting 6 counters on 1 site in different directories.

I just use Statcounter and have 1 project for the network then use the same code on all the sites in the network.

    Have you look at phpTrafficA.

I've used it in the past and found it to be one of the best stat programs out there.

    The website: http://soft.zoneo.net/phpTrafficA

Thanks for the answers aaron and smg.

That makes my life easier if I can just do it with statcounter, didn't know that would work.

phpTrafficA looks okay too will keep it in mind for hosting my own stats.

Ya you can easily. Just use the same code on all the sites. You will get some wierd referrers from this but its no big deal to me and the easist way to get done what you are looking for.
