Hi this is my first post. I'm working on a website for a school who want a homepage linked to the various subjects at the school. The school dont have alot of money set aside for the homepage, so I was considering asking if I could put an ad block on the page to pay for the homepage (and I could make more money from it in the long run ). Anyway, there would be about 1000 students regularly logging onto the page every day, but I'm unsure of how the school connects to the internet. Would google allow me to put ads on a site like this if the ads were clicked on from the same machines/cookies/possibly ips at the school? Like one class could start and students would click the ads, then an hour or so later a different batch of students would come in and maybe interested in an ad and click it. In googles eyes wouldnt this be seen as fraudulent clicks, when in fact the students would just be clicking on the relevant ads they are interested in? Any thoughts or advice would be useful, thanks alot.
I don't think your account would last long. Essentially, you're leaving yourself open to click fraud, and all the clicks would probably be coming from the same place, therefore Google would take a dim view of it. Not recommended IMHO.
With a school, I would say not to go with it. Or notify google and speak with them about it. The same ip, it just might be too much of an issue with adsense and they could possibly just terminate your account as it's a hassle to mess around with all the fraudulent clicks. I would say no go.
you may try other ad network for such sites. (adbrite or any CPM ads like valueclickmedia, tribalfusion, etc)
youll get banned by google adsense. this is not permitted. ur friends will click to support you, big G isnt dumb, ull get banned by ur first payment. also, u wont get accepted into cpm. look you cant make money like that. no one from ur school will buy what's advertised. sry to pop ur bubble
yea man, Ive always wondered about this. Sounds like its a no go. You should set up some sort of affiliate program =O
