Buying from OdditySoftware.com (Beware)

I would like to give a heads-up for anyone who is thinking of buying a database from odditysoftware.com.

Their site seems professional done but don't be fooled. I purchased a sql database for $300 that had lots of records (directory). Phone number, address, city, state etc... Almost half of the records had no Phone number and or street address. Also, they specifically state on their website, "We update every 120 days" Wrong! I found the data to be a least 4 years old.

I tried emailing Linda from the company and stated to her my issues. No response. I submitted my concerns on their "contact us" field and also let them know I would be purchasing more databases within the high $xxxx range, I asked them for some help. No response.

Its a real darn shame. Buyers beware!

No problem - I know there is someone from odditysoftware who has an account here on DP, I hope he reads this and provide some answers.

 

Odditysoftware has just started a thread about a database. I am sure they must be quite keen to clear this up.

 

I had the same experience. I paid for a database last week and so far has not received any database or link to download. I have been sending them PM and e-mails and not receiving any responce. Not sure what is happing with Odditysoftware.

I paid them over $180 to get a database uploaded to my website since January... They did not finish the work, it's incomplete and they are not responding by email or PM.

 

UPDATE:

I finally got a reply from someone at Odditysoftware and he completed the job in 48 hours. I'm pleased.
