Premium Publishers can have different formats - but they need to be approved. You need about 15-20 million page views to qualify.
They get to remove the Ads by Google text as well. Myspace is another site that does it, they look much better IMO, hopefully they will introduce it to smaller webmasters!
Premium publishers have more options for custom formats, but they still must be approved by google. Removing the "ads by google" isn't likely an option.
I actually don't think they are adsense ads at all. Normally if you click on 'Ads by Google' it takes you to google's ad system. I think they are only trying to simulate google ads for one reason or another. I know it sounds odd, but I do not believe that they are really google ads. I do know that PREMIUM publishers get customized ads and such, but this does not appear to be one of those, IMO.
i dont like these rip off premiums, they got there, get mad clicks and ctr with those mfa like tactics.
then why is it when you normally click on the 'Ads by Google' text it takes you to google's ad system and on this site it does not? I would be really interested into knowing why that is.
