'If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands' - Douglas Adams

If you don't own the copyright on the images then you shouldn't really be distributing them. In the long run it would be better to devise a business plan that didn't infringe others copyright

it can be free wallpapers so no copyright, right?:) and I guess AdSense has nothing to do with this, it is like duplicate content you can be not indexed but still nothing with AdSense account. And these are wallpapers, so you need to have some more text content for good indexing and if you will have some wallpapers and most of them for download free of charge then I'm more than sure that you won't be banned. All you should worry about is how to index and rank well.
    Cheers:)

"Free wallpapers" does NOT mean no copyright. All content has an automatic copyright upon creation. If the copyright holder of the wallpaper contacts adsense, you could be banned.

They can ban you once you find out.. I don't think its a good idea to take that risk.
If you want to offer wallpaper, make it yourself.. stealing is never the answer :)

The Adsense rule is pretty clear:
It doesn't matter if they are free, and it doesn't matter if you put a disclaimer or a link, you still need to get permission from the people who created the wallpapers to display them on your site legally.

What you could do is have a review blog that tells people where they could find great cricket wallpapers or related images on the web.

You are horrible. Why would you take other people's wallpapers? Why not create your own? I would hope that Google AdSense would ban your site if you did this, because it is not right.

Wrong. All artwork and photographs (including wallpapers) have an automatic copyright upon creation.

Read up on copyrights before you post.

It's not a question for Google, it's a general legal question. It's definitely illegal but depending on who you're taking them from there's a very low chance they'll actually do anything about it. You could get around it by adding a user upload feature and saying all wallpapers are user uploaded, and then say someone has uploaded a wallpaper that belongs to you, report it and we'll take it down. Same thing Youtube does.

Will that method may keep some people from suing you, you are still legally responsible for content on your site. Youtube has been sued many times, and continues to be sued for copyright infringement. The difference is that they have substantial financial resources to defend themselves.

I think it would be fine if he immediately took down anything that was reported, right?
