It's the paragraph symbol, nothing to do with music.

I scanned every character that I could (of .com .net, .org .in .us .biz) and I only found 3 that were open.

    I'll send you a pm.

It is a formatting mark used in Microsoft Word. It shows the formatting not normally shown like tabs, page breaks, new paragraphs and new lines.

I had never paid attention to IDN, I guess for some reason I was only thinking about Chinese characters and not about other Unicode symbols.

But this got me poking around, I checked a bunch of domains last night.

Some lucky sap got €.com, which I think is genuinely useful because it's type-able for most users. Also a lot of other great-looking ones like ✈.com (that's an airplane, in case it doesn't show up for some people) and ☯.com. But they were all snatched up years ago. Oh well.

Only characters I'd go for are the currency symbols. The euro one is surely worth some good money.

Other than that... stick to meaningful IDNs. Trust me.

I was a little intrigued about how many there were, so I scanned them. Of all the ones I scanned, there were only a couple that were open and I probably scanned a couple hundred.
