PageRank/Back Link Update (2/18/2006)

Look guys. I am sorry. I am getting more confused now with Osama having a "jihad" on Google updates and the conflicting stories on anchor texts. I feel it's time for beer and pizza therapy to think about these things.

 

As you can see by the stats from google sitemaps my highest ranking page should be first66 but the toolbar and all queries show PR3 which it received in the Sept. TBPR update.

Now this page, which was created after the Sept. TBPR update shows a PR5.

My home page shows PR4.

Weird stuff going on at Google.

Maybe Larry, Sergey and Eric should spend some of those big bucks they are making on some ritalin for their brain child...

Google is really going weird. I have a PR 6 site and all pages in the main navigation are PR 5. This makes perfect sense since they have identical links pointing at them.

But the new one was given a PR 3 this update. All the old ones are PR 5. The backlinks are the same...

Oh and my new site with a few thousand less links pointing at it is also PR 3...

 

Are you getting this from the toolbar? Yeah, Google is acting more than weird. They are pissing me off. I've talked to other webmasters who say they have multiple sites which have got no PR, and neither of my sites have changed one bit.

I don't know what game Google is trying to play, but it isn't funny.

roman1 i don't mean to alarm you but i'm actually seeing pr0 for both of those pages you mentioned. the update must be ongoing as i have yet to see any PR for several internal pages i created two months ago.

 

I see the PR I stated, although sometimes it does revert to PR0, but regardless, it's just another example of the google mess.

I have several pages new and old showing a whole range of PR changes. It won't sit still at all! Who trained this puppy anyway?

 

hmmm updates , hope they are still going on my site 1 year old predicted a 5 still has no rank but a site 20 pages 3 months old v competitive and a pr 1 HOw?

I don't use the toolbar, I use the various PR checkers. If someone could confirm with their toolbar, the page I'm talking about is www.eslgo.com/travel/ Please confirm that toolbar shows PR 3.
