i'm looking for a freeware program to do this to an image, preferably able to do the same to several images at once in a batch process: or if someone knows how to do it quickly using photoshop that would be good too, cheers!
yes i have photoshop 7. can it be done? if you could tell me how to do it step by step in photoshop that would be fine, no need to waste your time for my sake!

thanks for the support guys! glad you like it. Just go to "actions" and choose record, then you just do your stuff and it records it.

Turns out you weren't the only one who could use something like this. The feedback has been tremendous on my site. I should be thanking you for the inspiration!
