hi all here i am just to discuss pr and serp 1)like i am working on 2 sites on 1 site i am doing work for pr so i will like to take backlink from maximum pr pages. in my point of view pr 6 is going to provide me better pr as compare to 20 links(pr 2) or more. 2)and on other site for serp i will like to take maximum no of links (content pages) without any considertioan of pr but keeping in mind the page is cached exact reverse of first case so i am inviting all the webamasters to discuss this point here Regards domainguide
Don't worry about Pagerank, worry about providing rich unique quality content that is useful and informative. In my opinion you should spend 80% of your time working on content and 20% building backlinks. The main worries should be search engine results, not Pagerank. In the process of building "relevant" quality backlinks you'll naturally gain Pagerank from those backlinks.
yeah, serp is way more important and will be more beneficial. pr is nice and all, but not that big of a deal. imho.
For test purposes I can see the value of this, but obtaining high value links for test purposes is also a bit of a waste. It will be a lot more beneficial to combine the 2 in a way. Ignore PR but go for high value links if that makes sense.
hi first thanks to all for their valuable suggestions and i think i have confused everone. i never asked which is beter for business pr or serp I was just intersted in some suggstions that what should be my approach in both the cases if i work for pr for my site and 2nd if i work for serp I think now its clear to everone on this post
There's a third option: get links that will bring you traffic, no matter what the search engines think. A nofollow link that sends a thousand visitors is better than one surrounded in text if nobody clicks it. You want visitors from search engines - they're more likely to 'convert' from visitors to customers - but you want enough sources of traffic so that if any one of them went down, or decided not to like you, the rest will keep you afloat. Quality traffic > general traffic > serps > pr
