Hey Guys! Today I was talking to a coder I hired to do my wordpress theme... He coded something I didn't wanted, but he refused to accept it, and refused to make corrections! He is now demanding for money! Why will I pay some one for something I never asked for? Will you? And now he's trying to threat me! He wants to sell links on my Design! how can he code something you didnt want ?? was there some sort of agreement between you guys ??? i doubt he just took it and coded it on his own
How did he code something you didn't want? Surely it was just a case of you send him the PSD and he codes it? Or was it just that the coding had errors? Edit: danger9918 beat me to it!
Well... It had coding errors, guys... I sent him the PSD, but he made changes in it, for his own ease....
I don't know much about coding but if you explained exactly what you wanted him to do, he accepted those instructions and then failed to comply then that is grounds to withold payment. The trouble is he will hit you back with a negative iTrader too. Double whammy!
I know that he can hit me back with a negative iTrader! I sent him a PSD, and told him that I wanted it coded as it's in the PSD. But he was unsuccessful in doing it... I pointed out the errors, but he refused tomake corrections... That's why I'm holding the payment! I will not pay some one only because he's threatening me! NO! PS. I updated the first post with some more proofs...
Well, I've got to be honest with you here - if you're talking about that Night and Sky theme then it looks like he has coded adequately it to me. It also doesn't look like a very complicated PSD. Perhaps you made a mistake starting this thread.
Yes, it's the Night and Sky Theme... It may seem an easy one because he made changes to it, for his own ease...
Maybe you can show us a picture of how it should look? If it's vastly different it will enhance your claim.
I deal with idiots like this all the time. No matter how explicitly I explain what I want, they usually always end up doing something else. In the end I learnt its just better to learn how to do it yourself if you want it done how you think is right.

Yes, I think you are right! he claims that he's very reputable! While he has only 8 iTrader, what an idiot! And he thinks he's the best coder in the whole galaxy lol... I'll post the PSD screenshot soon. I don't have the PSD in this laptop, It's in my home PC.
cant blame the coder there, at the end of the day if he agreed to do some coding he did it, thats why when i need coders i see what they can do pay them, if it sucks, find a better coder, each and every coder have there own set standards and experience, he has done the work, spent his time, and yes time is money, and if i was the coder i would be very unhappy. pay him get it resolved, find someone that will fix the errors for a really cheap price. and thats the end of the dispute. no negative feedback, both partys happy.
omg lol some people are just unbeleivable, he sounds very childish he should do the work he agreed on doing, and not make changes which are not required and he has the nerve to sell links on YOUR design. Don't pay him a single cent. some people... lol
Hello people, I am coder who code this theme. I am cheated from XXX. I finish theme and I don't get money for that. Theme is xHTML/CSS valid, have good look in FF, IE6, IE7 and Opera. Then I will explain all... - Search text isn't here because I am payed to code PSD theme, not to make some programming details in WP - You have scroll bar because your width of your theme is 1024. That need to be fixed background. - Date backgrounds are same, but colors in background of date image are different Error about text in header is ok, but I think it is not important, also edges of date image is error, but you don't ask me to repair that.
