Does PR help get more pages indexed?

i keep reading where everyone keeps saying PR means nothing only SERPS, my site has about 20 million pages... i dont need them all indexed but would like to get as many as possible indexed and im thinking PR is needed so am i wrong? i have about 1300 pages indexed with a PR of 0 and 80% of them are on page #1 for the keywords i want most in #1 or #2 spots but i need more then 1300 pages indexed.

 

Each web page has it's own Pagerank, it isn't a site wide value. Building backlinks to "all" your web pages is the most efficent way to get them indexed.

 

No...PR means nothing.

PR is nothing...Its just a way to monetize your site,but if u use that monetize google will poke you and remove the PR...this is what happens in reality

PR == Money == Google will Poke you and u lose your PR

 

see as per my experience i can say that if your site having good PR mean site is old, and if your site is old and good PR means it must be crawled frequently with compare to other new sites.

yellow pages type of site, every company has its own html page, also 50,000 cities in the usa with say 100 categories = something like 5 million more pages

 

Does the 20 million pages has listings on them otherwise they'll possibly be seen as dublicate content.
From my experience you'll need some high pr links to your site.I have two similar sites and one of them has a pr7 link and its indexed pages are twice the other one.

 

well when i started the site i had a script that would list empty categories... made my own script now and only categories that have listings are made... working on those pr backlinks now well see what happens

 

They are idiots stuck at PR3 for life. LOL

PR is Google's PageRank which is Google's measurement of the importance
of a page. Google does not like to show unimportant pages near the top
of the SERPs. Go look in ANY niche, the top sites will have the highest
PR, (with a few exceptions due to tool bar out of date).

If Google thinks your homepage is important, they will crawl more and more
of your site.


Your best bet, imo, would be getting some links to your subfolders. Be sure
that you have a good hierarchy of folders leading to other folders. Be sure
they are named well; logically. Research 'siloing' and 'theming', buzz words
for organizing your site.

like:
/country/regions/counties/cities
/country/regions/counties/towns

etc.

Pr is not means to your indexed by search engine. backlink to your pages everyone can helo indexed

 

I don't think so - but I'm not certain. However, I've seen PR0 sites with thousands of pages indexed and PR5 sites with 2

 

PR is not having meaning for getting indexed more and more pages,
It's just shows quality links towards to your website.
You can see in community websites there are millions of pages with out pr getting indexed by search engine.

PageRank doesn't matter much. Once I had a PR0 site ranking for very competitive keywords. Get the idea?

 

Try ranking high for "poker" or "real estate" or "pharmacy" and the like with PR0. Good luck!
