Nope. You can't encourage anyone to click.

No it's NOT OK. It might take google a bit to notice, but you'll be banned as this is violating the TOS you agreed to when signing up

read point 5, actually read the whole thing...

    Hi,

thanks for your fast answer, so this is not a question formulation I guess.

I'm looking for a way to explain people why the ad is on my site ( in a short sentence which should be somewhere near the ad ). Most of my visitors don't know much about webdesign and all these things and they might be wondering why this "stupid ad" is on the site ....

Martin667. Seriously, just don't. Many people have tried some variation of this theme, then they are back in this forum crying that their account was suspended for invalid clicks and they don't know what they did wrong.

When the google hammer comes down, that's pretty much it. Do you really want to risk loosing all the rev you have generated?

If you really think people can't figure out why the "stupid ad" is on the site, put one of the referal banners on your site telling them the site is monetized by adsense. You can see examples here.

A bit of advise, since you are obviously new. ;)

You came to the right place. Read as many posts as you can in here and you'll learn what to do, and what not to do. Read the TOS, mail google if you have serious concerns and to double check if you have any doubt that you are abiding to the letter of the TOS.

There are MANY great tips on implementing adsense, such as blending the ads into your site so they don't really stand out (as ads) that is very effective.

Most of all, don't try to bend (or break) the rules, it won't work in the long run. (read all the help I've been banned posts)

    My 2 cents. Good luck!

there is no way of "explaining the ads" to your visitors without breaking the Terms of Service.

I suggest blending the ads with your site so your visitors won't get upset about the ads that much at all.

there is million threads here about blending, just read them and find some good tips and examples.

martin667, memorise the whole TOS before you start putting codes on your site. really. it'll save you lots of heartache later. :)

Or on this site. I learned that the hard way by getting a red rep and everyone making fun of me. I guess if google finds out, hopefully they'll assume I'm a newbie because I've barely got any hits.

Jackburton2006, I know I may have bothered you and others, but I'm willing to change my ways.
