The Problem with .Biz domains

What is the problem with .biz domains
in terms of SEO? of course its terrible if
    someone is searching for Digitapoint.com
Digitalpoint.biz is most likely not gonna rank
well, but for regular search terms, has anyone
seen a .biz domain rank well in "G" ?

I suspect the famous do-no-evil Google motto
has gone out the window for the .biz domains
as I suspect they have knowingly been sent to
the back of the line, even if a .biz site is chock-full
important info. very rarely is/are any rank well.
    your thoughts??

Dot Biz is quite new as compared to Dot Com, naturally they won't have sufficient time to garner the number of backlinks that the old established dot coms had done. It maybe really Do no Evil on the side of Google, just Father Time is the evil.

Agreed. No domain extension gets more value than another, the fact is just as WisdomTool stated, most extensions have time on their side. Also, I've yet to see a *.biz site that "deserves" to be #1 anyways. Now, if a quality unique content based site with massive quality backlinks wasn't ranking well then maybe I'd agree there was a "a problem with *.biz" domains.

    the backlinks? hummn..this backlinks argument
holds no water (IMO) i purchased a domain similar
to one already getting good results in the SEs and
within 4 days was ranking #1 for terms the other
was falling to #2, no backlinks, no links anywhere.

I go with the .com are older and have more backlinks.

The .biz aren't as popular so you we see less of them.

Give it sometime, I am sure it will be on par with dot coms, given a few more years.

Normally when we never look for something we assume this never exist, could be one of the reasons.

yes. i dont think google will give favor to any particular ltd. just because those who bought .biz didn't good enough promotion or SEO that's why they can not compete with established .com

Some SEO experts point to the fact that .edu and .gov domains have more value. I have only one site whit a backlink from a page of .gov domain and I cannot comment.
