My 'Shifts' are down...

I'm having a weird issue with my keyboard; the two -left and right- shifts stop working at once.
They stop working for hours then suddenly and without doing anything they start working again, then they stop working, then they work again, and so on...

I don't think this is a hardware issue cause both Shift keys stop working at the same times. I've also scanned my PC for viruses but non was found.

Any idea what could be the problem?

I'm copying/pasting special chars when I need to use them and it sucks.

    Is sticky keys on?

Meaning, did you hold shift for a long time and did a message come up saying sticky keys? If so hold shift down for like 7 seconds and see if anything comes up to turn it off.

I don't think that's the cause of the problem.
I've tried to hold both shifts -one at a time- for 8 seconds and nothing happened simply because they don't work.

Anyway, my PC uses a shared internet connection through a LAN, so could it be someone else connected to my LAN messing with me using some software?

Hook up another keyword and see if you still have the problem

My cousin had the same problem few months ago but with just one shift, have you tried the keyboard on another pc(to be sure that it is not hardware issue) but most likely the keyboard may have a problem(for i.e. it is damaged by water ). try pressing 5 times the shift key (don't hold, press repeatedly). A window must come and look there for your problem ...
