$100 is overprice for shady links, even if for 1 year.

You give links on your site for free?

A pr 3 sitewide links (with only one outgoing link...no link farm) cost $4/month ? 4 x 12 = $48 only this link for one year.

These links aren't on english pages...it's a particular service. I have gave to him more than 25 links.

I think that you don't read my post and write without sense.

I did read it but unless he agreed to pay $100 for super low quality links (which you should have told him) he has the right to be angry.
Don't take this the wrong way but would you pay someone $100 for the work you did?

Why don't you take 50% or more off the price, maybe that way he'll be willing to pay :)

because one link on a Pr 3 homepage and on 3 different sites with Pr 2 in home page (links are sitewide) worth more than $50.

At what price you would sell a link for one year on http://www.teenforum.tv that is a Pr 3?

I'm curious to know your answer

It would all depend if it was linking to a relevant site. If my site was a cooking site I wouldnt pay $5 for it. If it was related to teenagers I'd pay more.

Many people use them in black hat ways - ie they link several times to the one site in their sig, using different keywords. Theres no way thats natural linking. Black hat or not, anyone would be crazy to pay someone to get them links, and allow them to use sig links.

All those that claim that it is not black hat, can you do so with a proper explanation why you think it is not? Comments such as "he is ill-informed" or "everyone here does it so it must be ok" are meaningless. I explained why I think it is but as of yet no-one attempted to explain otherwise.

btw, I have no idea what the OP promised to his client or what he got for his money, so it is impossible to decide who is right or wrong. All I would say is that I a baffled at what the client expected? How many brilliant excellent quality links for sale here after all?

I wouldn't because I think selling links ruins the image of a site.
But if I had a spare pr 3 site lying around that I wasn't interested in developing I'd probably add links for a link back.

I have a natural one-way links of pages with pr's and I didn't have to pay anything so I think even $50 would be overpriced. I guess I'm not the right person to judge though because I know nothing about buying/selling links. :)

I just doubt the user buying it from you would benefit from forum links.. it will only hurt the site if they show up in search results for the site's url.

Anyway, I really hope it works out for both of you :)

Totally white hat. You get more from the visibility than the link juice.

That's at the heart of the question, really, isn't it.
If it's links on forums with some relevance, for traffic - totally white hat,
Links on unrelated forums for the sake of link-building and PR - not black, but a little grey, I would say.
