    i found a few fake traffic traffic generating softwares and scripts on the net.
    will traffic exchange companies with whom i have registered , use these to drive traffic to my site.
    will these fake traffic traffic generating softwares or scripts work.i think they use proxy lists. :confused:

    fake traffic helps no one at all
    its simply cheating by bots

    i have someone unknown creating with such a sw fake traffic on my site for no obvious reason except to damage me - i have zero benefits just additinal load and slower loading for real surfers/visitors - only some 10k hits a months but still far too much, it simply creates totally obsolete load to the server - i have plenty of real traffic for my normal hosting / server package

    my question would be opposite
    HOW to stop fake traffic from occuring on my site

    deny from IP
    in .htaccess is no solution
    the fake traffic tool uses a whole bunch of different IPs for each visit
