    Actually... my contest will be nothing like what you have seen...

    Most people now think of seo contests like just keyword contests.

    My contest will be about true search engine marketing and making money. Not just a link fest. I really wanted to announce it before SES but waiting on more details from other sponsors... if it goes as planned I think it will be really entertaining.

    Veeeerryyy interesting. Re: linkfest - I was looking at the carcasherdotcom seocontest results today. The #1 site has something like 9,500 links showing in Yahoo. That's a lot of work or weight to put into a sight for the potential reward. Something like you're describing might be more rewarding in the long term, be worth the effort, and take more skeels.
