Okay, this is doing my head in. I have a handful of sites, different topics, different traffic. In order to find a range of merchants even for just one of the sites, I need to use different affiliate networks and slos some independants. I am not the most organised person on the planet and I would much rather consolidate everything somehow. Plus I hate getting dribs and drabs of money from here and there, some to Paypal, some to bank account, some by cheque. Is there a standard way that experienced affiliates deal with this. Do you limit the number of networks you join? If the same merchant is on two or three networks, how do you choose which is making the best offer.
haha I totally understand how you feel, and I had the same problem. So what I did was, I asked most of the networks at I'm working with to pay me at the same time period (this will help organized the payments). I've also asked them to do all wired transfer (there is a small fee for some network) Then I look back at all the networks that I'm working with to see which one I can trust the most, then try to get all or most of the offers from that single network. When I first started I think I was working with around 10-30 networks, and now I'm down to 5 (but these 5 networks I can really trust them) I hope that helps
Well, it does give me something to work towards and makes me feel a bit less hair-brained to know that someone else has been bothered by ANO (affiliate network overload).
Personally, I would not limit yourself on the number of networks you use. I mean, obviously use ones that are reputable, but there are quite a few reputable ones. Many networks offer exclusives and you could be limiting yourself if you are not on that network just because you don't want to track too many Definitely use the wire transfer feature if possible and then maybe use some sort of accounting software to create an accounts receivable for each network and the terms (net 15, net 20, etc). If you are getting frustrated about looking for offers across multiple networks, you can go sign up for offer vault. They allow you to search for offers by niche across most of the major networks. You will get payout information which will tell you if one network is paying more on the same offer as another network. It is now a free service at offervault.com
