How to drive more traffic to a site?

I don't know how can I do this without the use of traffic exchanges. Please help me!

Directory Submission - submit your Url to those directories with high PR
link exchange - relevant site
quality content - attrack some visitor to link to your site...

 

Try stumble upon or other social bookmarking..

 

Not easy to get the tips from people.
It's always the same story: try stumble upon, do Craigslist, make content, etc...
Stuff all of us are doing but all of us are dissappointed about.

Because there is a way to stumble upon, there is a way to craigslist or to make content.

the only secret i know of, and it works for me, is UNIQUE CONTENT with some keywords in it. Lots of Unique Content.Then, traffic will come from SERP's. Links will come. $$$ will come.

i have to agree with creating a good content but you also have to do some site promotion and link building strategies to target traffic. Try social bookmarking, social media posting, joining related forums

Trust me it works even though its against Tos . I didnt get banned a single time for this reason ,yea there were several other reasons that got me banned but not this

spam ur urls in yahoogroup,mass message to mailing lists , chatroom ,
anyplace can be spammed ( i usually avoid forums) .

 

Get ranked in SE for keyphrases that are related to the websites niche/content

 

It's nice to make websites friendly to both (search engines and visitors)...

Doing the basic link building process like SB, forum, directory submissions... etc.

Not always a bad idea . definately not bad if the guy has got no knowledge of SEO .
