    Since my pr update from 0/10 to 3/10 i seem to be getting more yahoo spiders on today they have been on all day sometimes in there 3 s or 4s any reason for this, before the update they only came on every or 3 times a week.

    pr update was done for Google .. how come yahoo spiders is coming because of Google PR update ? :|

    i was wondering that if my profile has risen on google maybe it has a cascading affect on yahoo to some degree. ie if im recognised with google do other search engines see that as a plus point, then increase my serps

    I don't think Yahoo is ripping PR toolbar data from G to determine SERP placement. If they ever did such a thing it would probably break G's T&Cs.

    i think your missing my point surely if you rank high on an established engine it must have a knock on effect on other engines.

    I rank high on MSN all the time and it doesn't help me at all with G or Y...

    You are looking at it incorrectly. Google, Yahoo, and MSN each use their own algorithms to define their serps. However all of them of course use a similar structure for the math. So let's say Google counts inbound links well so might Y or MSN...hence if you do well in G because of your links then Y and MSN will also display positive results. However it's very doubtful that just because you rank well in G that it creates an effect at them.

    Build it and they will come. "THEY" are the search engines...do something good for G and the others follow.
