You write as if you are eight-years old. Sorry, but how can you expect to be taken seriously if you don't even put any effort in the grammar in your post?
Welcome to DP, man! Much of what you're looking for has probably been covered here already....at least enough to get you started. Browse and search the forums and if you have specific questions that haven't been covered, start a new thread. You will get much better responses if your questions are specific.
Here are some of my favorite traffic driving & website promotion techniques to drive traffic to my blogs. They are great for pulling in traffic, subscribers and sales. 1. Article Marketing such as EzineArticles, GoArticles and ArticleCity 2. Social Bookmarking such as Digg, Propeller, Del.icio.us 3. RSS Submission 4. Directory/Blog Directory submissions 5. Blogging 6. Viral Marketing with ebooks 7. Comment Posting 8. Forum Posting in related forums. Simply Google "yourtopic + forum" 9. JV with related competitors Most importantly, read through the entire forum. Follow Crazy_Rob's advice.
Just out of curiosity.... Why do you want to know about marketing????? Do you have a website? or a product???? or are you just looking for somebody to tell you how to make a million dollars?????????? (There! I made up for your punctuations)
Im looking for like help with my web site i want more people to come to my web site so i can sell links on my site.
Whoops... there we go again. It's "I", not "i" Eh, welcome to the forums! Crazy_Rob gives some good advice here. Pick some goals and then start asking around (and searching) what people have to offer. Another good piece of advice: first you gotta figure out why you need to learn marketing, and then start asking questions (and searching ) focussed on those goals. Alright. Well, in that case you could read this post about getting traffic and search more from the forums. There's plenty of threads that discuss about getting traffic. Secondly, you need to know about "link sales", so basically you could start asking about "how to sell links". Sorry if this sounds patronizing - none meant - just trying to give information on down-to-earth manner since I don't know your skill levels. Good luck with your venture.
Or better yet, DONT spend any time on DP. Get a updated list about good and up-to-date marketing related books, buy and read them all. Also find some quality blogs that posts good information. Blog superstars like Shoemoney and Johnchow will never give you anything useful, their just filling their blogs with crap. Don't waste your time reading them. Oh, make yourself a todo-list and do what's on it. And remember to drink a lot of water, it keeps you focused and you'll have better skin when you get old. My $0.05. Good night from Australia.
Making it into the news is always a great promotion, silly idea: 'a webmaster spent 72 hours without sleep modifying music forum', or something more spectacular for greater exposure.
Well, I'd say spend SOME time on Digital Point - but the most important thing is to put anything you learn in action. While there might be noise in "superstar blogs" (like anywhere) they can be still worth checking out - you can learn things from everywhere. Shoemoney for example shows a good example: the impact of a big adsense check. Displaying that builds traffic and credibility... which leads to more $$$ which leads to more traffic...
Havent you guys realized it yet? The only thing shoemoney and john chow makes money on from their blogs are you guys, the stupid readers that keep subscribing to them hoping they some day will reveal their secret..
The same could go for submitting free articles as a way of web-site promotion with hope for gaining high traffic.
