Does anybody know how to make a paypal buy link? I know how to make a buy it button, but I do not want to use an image, I just want to hyper link some words so when the customer clicks on the link it goes to the paypal webpage with the price and everything...I hope this makes sense. For instance Buy it Now! but instead of going to the homepage, it would go to the paypal checkout screen. If anybody knows please let me know!
LOL - I personally have tried doing this and have not got anywhere - If someone knows I would appreciate the help as well
The easiest way is to log in to your paypal account and use the seller tools area for creating buttons. Make sure you don't check the option to encrypt your link when you're inputting the details (price and name) and paypal will give you the HTML code for both a graphic button and a "text link for emails". You can then just use the text link info on your pages instead of the graphic button form. Once you've done that a few times you'll notice the pattern in paypal links and be able to create them from scratch without having to go into your paypal account. HTH, Scott
or you could do this: < a href="#" onClick="document.payform.submit()" title="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">Pay With PayPal</a> just add name="payform" to the form tag
I do not know why you do not want to put a great name like Paypal.com. Your customer give their Credit Card info only when they see that that would in safer hand. If you are not a Big Brand site, people may not trust you and you could loose a great number of sales just because you have not shown trust of Online Business.
There is a simpler way by the way - <a href="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=YOURIDHERE">YOUR TEXT HERE</a> Replace YOURIDHERE with your actual I.D. How do you get your I.D? I got you! 1)Create your button like you would regularly 2)After you click "create button" look for (Websit) <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="YOUR_ID_WILL_BE_HERE"> or even simpler Click (Email) and you'll get the whole code. You'll just need to "a href" it like above. Done.
