So yea, I'm the copy cat not him. :(
But it's getting that time to change avatars now anyway, prolly do it tonight when I get home. I'm sure he is sick of my using it anyway...

So there will be a beheading... :D
Yeah, I see it as a free host with a wsywig. So how long until we get spam emails linking to xxxx.googlepages.com with meta-refresh headers? Or perhaps this is why you cannot edit by hand... ;)

    That's interesting:

More sites per user? Maybe we'll be able to create subdomains. Kewl!

Thanks for the apology. And yes, you're right. No riots and no beheadings. So many of us takes some things way too seriously.

    /*tom*/

BTW: If G gets Page Creator working right, I think it's sure to become extremely popular.

Exactly. Give yourself Gmail invintations, use them and you got some ahem... spam-free... new sub-domains. :D

I can just see spammers using Googles own site to spam Google!!! :D

I wonder what they would do with a SpamCop report on a gmail address that mentions a googlepages url...

Especially if they do allow you to add adsense! :D

Would they handle it differently from say, a YPN site in the same situation?

At this rate there will be no need to get listed in google serps because google will have their hand in every pie! I think they need to stop destroying the small businesses that made google a search engine in the first place.

That is sort of true, however most people know nothing about seo, so all the traffic they will get will be friends etc...

To be honest, I doubt most people who will use sitebuilder will get any traffic from say google searches. There will be the occasional lucky one, but I don't see it as a threat.

So Blogger and GoogleBase become spam havens and now Google creates this.... Great if it is used properly, but I wonder if it is going to go the same way.

Oops! Google Page Creator is having a little trouble right now.
This is not because of anything you did; it's just a little hiccup in our system that will hopefully go away soon. We apologize for the inconvenience, and recommend you try reloading this page.

Tooo busy with requests :). I did nothing but tried to visit my own google page.
