Frontpage has been discontinued by microsoft, that shows how sh*t it is. Dreamweaver isnt any better really, nor is any other WYSIWYG editor.

They are both crap. Get Notepad++ or another decent editor and learn how to code. If you can't code, you are not a web site maker-person. Simple.

Dreamwaver ROCKS! So much more advanced than frontpage, however more completex to use and a lot more buttons. However, work with it and watch some tutorials via you tube and you will get there!!

Ohh, the irony of it. :D

Frontpage has been discontinued and replaced with Expressions (aka renamed? - though it is a significantly different).

Both tools are aimed at "designers" rather than "developers"... those who can draw a pretty picture but dont want to arent able to actually write the code to make their pictures into websites. As they are jack of all trade types tools they therefore do not create good code (but much better than it used to be).

Dreamweaver traditionally was more popular but this is as much to the history of it all as much as which is a better solution. When the web started to take off a lot of graphic designers decided to call themselves web designers and so needed tools that they could create sites with given they were experts with graphics but no experience with coding. Traditionally graphic designers have had a much higher proportion of Mac users and so a lot of people went for Dreamweaver as a cross platform program where as Frontpage was Windows only.

By the sounds of it you are just starting out and whilst I am not so much of a pain about it as others I would agree with people here who say to simply get a text editor and learn how to do things properly. Many reasonable coders/ programmers can create the identical thing as a WYSIWYG user in a shorter time and with better code thanks to things like IntelliSense

Haha. Laden in irony that sentence is. My code is good, yeah. I am 14 and made $560 off coding last month - I must be doing something right.
