I wonder if the following can happen: Let's say my site is in sandbox and while it is there I build so many links (and do great SEO) that as soon as it comes out, it will rank #1 for its main keyword? Is this possible? Anyone has an experience with this?
This had happened with one of websites of my customers, but not sure this is sandbox. This website didn't move for 2 months, and after that become #1 in Google for very competitive keyword. I really don't believe that Sandbox really exist. I do SEO since 2001, and if you work on competitive keyword, this mean that other webmasters are working too, thats why websites are not moving, this is what i cal competitive market not "SandBox"
I believe that sandbox does exist and it is a case when your domain is indexed in Google (when you search for yourdomain.com), but it's nowhere in Google for its keyword. As an example check out the Logo Design site in my signature. It must be in sandbox now, as it doesn't rank for logo design, but is indexed in Google. Sandbox is a filter that Google puts on new sites in competitive niches. Or maybe my site got a penalty, as I've built too many links quickly (putting the link to my DP sig maybe).
well, as you said your site is in sand box. i wanna ask one question from you what is domain age of your site and if your site is in sandbox, you should not go for building links massively. If domain is new, to make links for your site should be a gradual process. First get your site out from sandbox, meanwhile you can build the links gradually....be cautious this time since your site is in sandbox.....
