    try x10webhosting ( 300mb ad free hosting ) all you need is to login to their forums once a week

    they have a lot of promo's offering free domains too :)

    So far freehostia.com is the best ads free hosting I have encountered. Great uptime also.

    Honestly.. why not just spend $100/month on a dedicated server?

    With most free hosts, you're going to have traffic leaks, programming issues, bandwidth limitations, slow speeds, security flaws.. etc..

    The cost of hosting nowadays is so low that it just makes sense to host your own sites..

    agreed, most of the free hosts stays down.. :p
    spending $7-$10/month (as most of the hosts are in this price range) is really worth if you are serious about your site.
