UK: Is a company director employed or self-employed?

    I suppose this question would be best put to my accountant - but it's the weekend.

    If I'm a director of a company which I own almost all of - am I employed or self-employed?

    You would be employed because you would get paid by your company.

    Self-employed tends to be referred to people who work by themeselves, such as contractors.
