Hey Guys/Gals, I have a pretty keyword-rich domain name with no hyphens. Should I include it in my <title> pages? For example: <title>Buy XYZ Widgets On Sale At Buywidgets.com</title>
On one hand extra rubbish in the title tags will not help SEO, but it can help people remember your site, or people could remember your domain by constantly seeing the domain in the SERPs (title) & it can inprint the domain on their minds forever. I go for the domain in the title tags, quite often. Really it's your choice...
I use the name of the website almost all my sites I've developed and own. However I don't think it would make a big difference in SEO. If it's keyword rich I would think you are better off breaking up each Keyword. This is how I have mine: Get Free Volunteer Management Software to Effectively Manage, Schedule and Track Volunteers Online | MyVolunteer.com I use Google Analytics to see what keywords are being used by those who hit the site. Then I keep refining the title and keep moving up in the rankings. DJ
Do not use the TLD extension in the title, a better example is...... Buy XYZ Widgets On Sale - Buywidgets
Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. I know some of my questions may seem retarded, but I'm new to SEO. I use Google to search for answers, but, from what I can tell, this forum has a good reputation. Instead of starting another N00B thread, I'll ask another question or two here. I already have 50 backlinks according to Yahoo, but Google says my site has zero. My site has been up for around 3 weeks and the last time it was crawled was on January 28th. Should I use one of those paid services(20.00-40.00 USD) to submit to SEO-friendly directories? I'm doing it manually and it is very tedious, even with the free directory submitter software I downloaded. Also, what do you think about 3-way link services? Lastly, how can I use social bookmarking to drive traffic to my site? If I talk about the products I'm an affiliate for, will it get labeled as spam? I could also write content-related articles pertaining to my niche.
Google does not show all there backlinks, but you have them. Directory submission is best done yourself, i do mine manually too it is hard work but it's worth it, many of these submissions offered are totally automated & are basically spam to the directories, or they are of low quality & some people actually take you money & do no submissions.
Do what i do, every single day add your site(s) to each directory in the Solicitations & Announcements section of DP as a minimum, this is quite easy
