hmm maybe sticker, but its easy.. and i don't know where abcyesn is getting his clickable links :S but i still wish that there was a real competator to yahoo answers!
The only way to know for sure is to find out yourself. But don't put in your url in the first half a dozen or so answers. Once they get use to your name, THEN put it in. But, don't make it live, where they can click on it. Be subtle about it. If they like it, they will copy and paste it. If they don't, well, it won't matter if it is live anyway. Also, put in your full name and age, along with your url. This, in a small way, may help prevent you from being labeled a spammer. It also makes you seem more real, more personable.
I do it all the time...but I make sure the link is relavant to the question...meaning I only answer questions related to my site. You put it in the source box. And yes it makes a difference...I get a good bit up traffic from it. It is time consuming though to answer the questions for real.
I love how people just want to totally and quickly dismiss Yahoo Answers. It shows just how people don't want to think out of the box. Yahoo Answers is GOLD. The possibilities are endless, when you just take into account what it is. 7 million questions, and 65 million answers covering every topic you can think of. It's awesome. I made a KILLING with Answers, and I wrote a book about it. In less than 6 months, I made over $10,000 with Yahoo Answers, and it was as easy as pie. I just can't believe more people don't realize it's true potential. I STILL get great traffic from Answers to my sites, even though I haven't done anything at Answers in months. If you do it right, Answers rocks. Check out my book thread if you wanna know more about it.
I've heard of some people creating 2 accounts and 1 account asks a question the other account answers the question. Not sure there is any benefit any longer without clickable links.
Get a cheap domain and re-direct back to your site. In case you get ban, only the 99 cents .info domain not your main one.. Pretty sleek eh?
Very much worthwhile. As long as you keep on topic and add your link as an useful resource. I'm still getting traffic to my site from answers I wrote almost two years ago.
A untruth. In fact, only Google follows the nofollow link policy. Answers are counted a backlink on Yahoo itself, not to mention the numerous backlinks you may get from all the Yahoo Answers clones that are popping up. Many of them delete the link, but some do not. Your URL will show up in the SERPS, along with your Answer at the very least. And consider that when you post a link on Yahoo Answers, you're posting a Answer on all of the other english-speaking Yahoo Answer sites around the world, England, Canada, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc. So a link goes a long way on Answers. Don't just think about Google here.
Yahoo answers has done me well!! Like anything, it takes a bit 'o practice to devize the right stratagy, but once you do you can make some bank! Few pointers... Mix it up, I like to spread myself out and answer a few question that have nothing to do with me, my marketing, or any links. At least my so called "fans" and YA regulars will see me around and be a little more tolerable when it's time to spam. I like cheap and easy cpa offers for YA...one thing that has done me well is iPod offers. There is always tons of iPod question, takes like two minutes (if you have a squeeze page template ready) to google "jailbreaking an ipod", post in article into a squeeze page for a free ipod, or free ipod acc. offer and then start answering questions with a link to the article/offer.
I started using it when I first set up my first website and it worked great! but then too many answers with my links proved to be spam and it got flagged but now I do it every so often
so can we get this straight.. is answering yahoo answers a good thing or not? even with out clickable links?
Good thing... That is of course if you have nothing better to do, it's really not a reliable enough to be anything more than a [potentially] profitable time killer, some work, some don't.
