Google adsense is a waste of time

    Hi,

I think spending incredible amount of effort and time trying to increase google adsense earning is really a complete waste of time.

I have been trying for coming to 2 years and yet the earning goes back to square one. The traffics have increased significantly and yet the earnings are worst than one year ago.

I think, the time will be better spent doing something else.

    Anybody has the same feeling?

Yes same feeling but I guess this is due to us not being good rather than blame Adsense as I have seen enough threads on those earning big money from Adsense. Guess we have to do what we are good at.

On the other hand, I have discovered that my sales earnings from selling downloadable digital products are steadily on the rise.

But then, it takes alot of effort before the sales starts to come in. Also, I have found that selling your own product is much much better than promoting affiliate programs and resell products.

I think so too, Adsense is still the best despite the many shortcomings.

You need to find the right niche, I sometimes get 1.50 per click. I just need a lot more sites getting these clicks, my friend has a site in the same niche doing very well. Hope it gets better for you.

I have to say that I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about AdSense. I just develop my sites and then place and forget the AdSense code. I put my focus on creating good content and keeping visitors coming back; such repeat visitors can be monetized in many different ways that pay better than AdSense. I consider AdSense a nice way to supplement income for a website but not the reason for having a website to begin with.

    Cheers!

I've seen my AdSense pick up in the last month after making some changes. I'm constantly reading about what others have done and making adjustments. I had one click today that paid over $1.60 and revenue almost daily now. I'd just say keep at it, try new things and hopefully you'll reap the rewards soon.

I have wasted so much time on Adsense too. It's ok if you want to earn a few extra pennies each month on the side but to rely on it is a bit silly.

Unless you have a great niche and heaps and heaps of traffic earning a lot is hard.

I dont think so... you only need to target the most popular keywords... Plus try to make your adsense blend with your current template..

When you make money, you love adsense, when you dont make money, you hate adsense.

    Thats how people work.

Try to start up a website with a more competitive niche if you want big bucks from adsense.

If your getting traffic, your half way there. You just need to work on getting those visitors to click on your ads.

Sometimes the ads aren't targetted and sometimes there are no advertisers.
Work on getting the ads to show relavant stuff, blending, placement and colors.

Also every site is different so you need to decide is this site for adsense or is it better for affiliate marketing or is it best that I use it to direct traffic to other sites.

If it doesn't work, sell websites, there is always a demand for sites that have traffic.

ADSENSE is not a waste of time IF you focus on your site/s rather than your earning.

Ad-Sense can be a great source of income, but shouldn't be the only source of income on a website and blog. It is important to diversify your advertisements and not put "all your eggs in one basket."

    Best wishes,

    Andrew
