Is it a major or minor update that you have to do?

WordPress has their "Famous 5-minute install"

    Basically...

    1) Backup
    2) Upload new files over your old ones
    3) Open yourdomain.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php in your browser.
    4) Done

You might want to skip uploading the theme files if you use and have modified the classic or default theme.

So I would just transfer all new files over using FTP, so when it says overwrite. I just click overwrite all?

Yup... that is correct... and why step 1 is recommended. That way if you overwrite something you should not have... you have the backup.

I think I done it sucessfully.

It updated it automatically, and at the end it provided me with two backup links. That is correct right?
