Isn't as easy as you think? You copied the code from Yahoo exactly as it was. If you had implemented the Yahoo libraries yourself to create a colour picker, that would be completely different. You just went and copied their example code exactly. No programing knowledge was at all required.

Awesome site (I'm not interested in buying it). You might even have an upload option to upload an image or a URL and then be able to select a color from that image. Just a thought, good luck with the sale!

You should try to remove slider demo part and inser other two only and you should see what I mean. I had some tricky part with that and it's not easy as copy paste belive me. After all I dugg internet for that script and had idea about site.
You can all tell what ever you like about this site and say it's value is 1$, but I like this site and since it brings traffic and started earning some money from 1st day I will keep it instead of selling it cheap.
My reserve price 50$ and I will not sell it below. For less money than that I am 100% sure it's better for me to keep it.

Actually using it for a commercial purpose is a problem. I was using it fairly for educational purposes. I thought a rip of a rip was kinda fun actually. It goes to show you what it's like. :)

Toby the reason it's copyrighted by Yahoo is because this uses a lot of javascript files. Each has the yahoo copyright notice. Even creating a derivitive work off theirs for commercial gain is copyright infringement at it's finest. So you see balkanboy has broken that.

haha that's freaking funny! You telling ME not to steal! haha

I am not selling use of this site I just have 1 banner with ads, so I am not breaking any rules. Also this code is released and available for everybody, my site code isn't. So this is a difference.

You should familiarize yourself with the FreeBSD license that is for the code.
Looking at the yahoo developer site states these are released under that. However your page is a direct rip of the example. You even used hidden div with display:none to hide the problematic top area. I ran into same problem as you. :)

I think you spent less than an hour on that site...most likely a lot less than that. Hey it's a good .info name and you did the work...good luck on your sale.

By this licence I am not breaking any rules. I haven't removed any copiright notices from code and I am cool with it. Labrocca please remove my site rip from your server. My site code is not under freebsd and even if it was you would breaking it. I think you are wrong and if you are fare you will admit it.

I am not that good in legal terms of English so I don't understand very good. By this licence I musn't keep the site this way? What are limitation simply speaking?
Anyway I decided to give away copies of this site or any part for use to everybody without any requested permission. If somebody need to give this away it is me and not Labrocca. Anyway this was css practise for me and it wasn't lost time. Acctualy I still have nice domain. So again take my site if you wish.I will also send psd logo for download or make a public download link if somebody is interested.

    labrocca,
The BSD license isn't like the GPL. It doesn't force derivative works to be licensed under the same agreement. (read here)

However, balkanboy, I'm not sure that Yahoo's examples as a whole are licensed under the same agreement. I don't think Yahoo intended people to be taking the examples and reselling them as is (nevermind that you have a different layout). Your decision to give it away is probably a good idea.

Balkanboy, stop bullshitting, it's making you look bad. You got found out about using Yahoo's stuff, simple as that. Anything you say to try to wriggle out of it will just make you look foolish.

Change the terms of the sale to domain with example content built using Yahoo's color thingy (available for free download upon completion of the sale). You have a decent domain name (as far as a .info goes) so it shouldn't be a problem selling.

mcfox, does that mean if someone buys the domain name, will that person considered yahoo copyright infrignment?

Not if they offer the content / use of the Yahoo stuff under the terms of the licence.
