I'm sure this has been asked before but I searched and didn't find it so I'm going to ask again. What's your day job? I'm sure there are lots of people here that need to work because the web business isn't enough yet. I'm a computer tech for a large organization. I work Monday to Friday, 8 to 4
I'm a full time student too so no day job for me. A guy in my class has a job outside of school but he isn't able to keep up with the schoolwork. So I won't be getting a job any time soon
I guess this is a popular industry for students. I used to work at a gas station and grocery store when I was in school
web and graphic design, Internet marketing. I've been doing it for 9 years now. The only thing that sucks about it is that at the end of the day, I'm too burned out to work on my own projects. I'd like to get back into doing a manual labour job
@w3bmaster and pipes That's where I hope to be someday. I'd rather be putting in 12hrs a day working at home (or in my own rented office space) than working for someone else.
It can definately happen for you, im in no way well off or anything, working on that though in all honesty id refer to myself as surviving at the moment, ive no kids or anything yet, but working towards a comfortable future, i pretty much do it 7 days a week. Im a believer in making sacrifices now, for more fun times in the future.
That sounds exactly like the philosophy I have. I'm hoping to see some return on my efforts in the very near future. Since I do have a day job I put in about 2hrs a day on my web ventures (more when the wife is at work). I don't have any children and I am young enough to be willing to take risks. I'm just gonna ride it out for now and do as best as I can. Hopefully it will pay off big in the long term.
