Avoiding sandbox - question

I wonder if I can avoid the sandbox if I create my new site on a folder of my existing site. E.g. let's say I'm going to target the keyword "logo design", but instead of registering a new domain, I would just establish the site on wpmix.com/logo_design/

Could that help me to avoid sandbox? My site wpmix is PR4 now and has some age, so would this help or not?

    hi,
I think it really doesn't matter that you are hosting a brand new site or creating a folder for your new products. All the new sites overcome to SandBox after a few months.

Creating a new folder in an existing Website of having some good PR may help you to achieve faster results as compared to Hosting a brand New Website for the same purpose. But have you ever thought that it will also take some time to appear in search results for that new Keywords that you will target for that particular folder. If you use those resources in promoting a Brand New Web Site in search engines, it will start appearing in few months.

There is no need to be scared with SandBox it is just a litmus test and every New Web Site has to pass through it. If the site is appropriate to its content and services and using the right (Ethical SEO ) technique it will surely pass this test and come out from SandBox to Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs )

Yeah, I'm not scared, but the sanbox just takes too long - 3 to 12 months and I really can't stand waiting so long. I have an idea and I need some decent traffic to get it working, but other methods for getting traffic than SEO are too expensive and do not convert at all.
