    From where can I get some free pictures which I can use on my website. I know there are few sites but still where do you people look normally ....

    Not free, but at $1 per image with a few hundred thousand QUALITY pics to search then http://www.istockphoto.com has to be the best value on the web.

    One that I actually submit photos to is bigstockphoto.com, which has a wide variety of images. Unfortunatley they are not free, but rather around $1.50 each. Another idea would be to go through deviantart.com, many of the images there can be used for what your site and if not you can always PM the owner to see if it's ok.
