I am failry new to HTML, XHTL and CSS and all my learning has been through reading books from my local library and also using the W3schools. Can someone recomend other learning resources? I have been using dreamweaver MX {code view} and I was just wondering wether it would be worth it to upgrade to CS3? Is this the best WYSIWYG?

Dreamweaver is alright, it's nice to be able to view that list of tag attributes- but as for updating, don't bother. . . I've lightly used every version from MX up, and the best one so far is 8. What one are you running now?

As for more resources there isn't much I can recommend besides google and w3schools- that and looking at other people's code, figuring out how it works and such.

I agree; if all you are using it for is code view then there is no reason to upgrade. I am currently running MX as well, and really have no reason to upgrade. However, I would like to get my hand on Photoshop CS3.

DW CS3 isn't up to today's "standards" when it comes to using XHTML etc. Do a search for CMS, they are getting to be much more commonly used.

I have 8 and CS3 and I don't know that CS3 is worth the price of the upgrade. It does include some Spry widgets that are handy once in awhile, but nothing that can't be achieved via free scripts. If you are doing any kind of dynamic sites, I'd recommend Super Suite extensions.
