How much is a single post from you worth?

I was just wondering, since there are already a lot of forums that pay or give incentives to members for posting, how much do you think your post is worth?

Just a fair estimation of your posts worth? Say $0.01 per post or $1 per 50 posts? Be honest now.. :p

Anyway, I'm just asking this out of curiousity. I'd still post in DP even if I won't get paid. :D

Well, it depends on posts. Sometimes I feel like some my post isn't worth a cent but sometimes when I make good post I feel like it's worth 2$

It depends on who is buying...

The going rate for sig sales was a penny per post, though it's really hard to get that now-a-days. Though, honestly, if people would be a bit more picky on who they bought from the value should/could actually go up...though I guess this isn't about the cost of a signature. ;)

There is also "pay per post" which seems to be someplace between 5 and 10 cents. Not bad if you are posting anyway, but seriously, most of the posts I've seen of this quality are just that, worth about 5 cents.

The cost for an actual post still varies. Does the post have content? Are there links involved? Is the thread you are posting in a sticky? What is the content? Who posted it? All these things could and should effect the cost of a post.

A post from DigitalPoint (Shawn) is certainly worth more then a post from me, at least here. Though go to my forum and people will be like "Who the heck is this guy" if Shawn started posting like he ran the place.

A post by me that says "PM me the details" or whatever in BST is certainly not worth as much as an article I've reposted here. A post here in general chat is likely not worth as much as a post in the adsense forum...but then, content can certainly flip-flop that answer.

    Is someone buying posts?

On DP people are more the willing to post for free, but when posts are witty I think they should be paid in +rep!

    Great post!

I think paying for posts isn't the best way to get loyal members. The visitors should like the site. I like what i see here so i evaluate my posts at.. not. ;)

I don't post on forums unless the forum entertains me thus to get me to post on a forum I have no interest in would have to be worth my time. Assuming I'd do quality posts as I'd be being paid I think 20 minutes to put a post together is not out of the question.

I make $50.00/hour at my job and am quite busy so I value my free time so I'd need to be motivated to waste it, say $75.00/hour.

So, if you'd like me to post on your forum, that'll be $25.00/post.
