Is a .us domain worth anything?

    What is the actual worth of a .us domain?

    I'm pretty new to everything that has with domains and stuff but today I found the following domain:
    • LLLL.us with three premium letters;
    • Pronounceable in three different ways;
    • Name contains a very popular search term;
    • All the other good extensions are already registered;
    • Easy to spell and remember.

    Since I'm from Europe I can't really imagine if a .us domain like this is worth anything. Is there some sort of percentage how much a .us domain is worth compared to .com? and is there a reliable (free) domain affiliate program?

    Thanks in advance,

    video.us sold for $75,000 last March it dropped and has just fetched $18,500 at a Pool auction. Apparently the previous owner was from Europe and didn't meet the Nexus requirements.

    Yeah I just noticed that non-USA citizen can't even register a .us name, are there other people here who got experience with buying an .us domain as a non-USA citizen? They just take my domain if they find out or what?

    Hahaha I haven't bought the domain actually and I'm not going to take the risk anyway. I'll keep my ass on the safe side. ;)

    .com names just keep getting longer and more confusing. It's just a matter of time until people begin putting greater stock in some of these other domain extensions. I don't think the average user really cares or pays that much attention to it, so I'd hang on to them too...can't hurt.

    Check the eligibility first, you'll possibly need to be US residence to register .us domain name.

    .US domain has two meanings.

    1) It represents the United States of America.
    2) Its represents us, i.e we.

    So considering option 2, some name that come to my mind are help.us, find.us etc...

    And I fully agree with that.

    .com will always dominate the market but not sure about .net.
