    Dont forget to make it shiny!! Shiny seems to be a popular theme amongst web 2.0. Unfortunately (Fortunately???) I tend to be attracted to very shiny things..... :)

    PINK SHINY BETA STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yaaaaaaay!

    Heh, most of what people mean by Web2.0 is the styling-- which is fine, but think of all those websites still out there with what was hot in 1999-- they look really dated. You've got to think of, will this need to be really overhauled in a few years because the look (not the content) has gone out of style?

    I'm making my homepage really really cutsie... I'm soooo temped to do the whole shiny Web 2.0 thing, really just overdo it : )

    Haha, excellent! Yeah I do agree with you; it is a design 'phase' so to speak and in a few years we will be changing it up again to follow the latest trend. The internet is more like highschool then people realize in terms of how it constantly shifts to what is popular. Almost Every web 2.0 classified website has that weird color shift on images (to make it look 3D), as well as gradients, shadows etc.

    We have come along way and you are right; the 'hot' stuff from '99 is a little scary;

    Its why I like looking at the wayback machine. Yahoo is a fun one :)

    Yeah; and I fear what is coming up next! My programming / html skills are top notch; my graphics on the other hand; well I wish they looked like the new stuff. Graphics are something I always have to out source, or have someone else do. Never had a nack for it; and these grahpics with gradients, shinies, and the like... well I am already outclassed, can't imagine what is next lol.
