I want to spend some money on Adword to promote my site. I know i can set limit of spending but still worry about my earning won't be able to cover the spending. Anyone have success using adword to boost your earning?

Hard to say, but in theory you can advertise at a minimum CPM of 25 cents ... question is, are those people more or less likely to click on an ad?

I don't use Adwords either, don't see the point for a website without products. (that's not to say you shouldn't, just my opinion)

I wouldn't use adwords to get adsense money.
I use adwords to get traffic to sites where I sell products from our company. The margin is much higher and for every $ spent I earn $7.

I tried it a year ago on some affiliate sites but the difference between spending and revenue is so thin that you really have to watch out not to spend more then you earn. I spent $5000 and earned $4500 so I lost $500
Most people don't tell you what they have spent and only tell you what they earn. Look I'm making $4500 :)
Finding a nich is the words they always tell you about but unless you really found a high traffic phrase for a few cents to a site where you have a high CTR and earnings... it's very hard to play the game this way.

Use SEO, get good quality content and build traffic to your site....it's slower but in my opion a better path to make money with adsense.

If your interested put aside 50-100 dollars over a period of time for adsense. Check if your adsense revune exceeds what you spent. but make sure you subtract your 'normal' revenu because those clicks would be there even if there was no adwords used. if you DO indeed make more money then I would stop advertising for 2 weeks and see what happens to my adsense income. If it drops back down to where it was before i would say you found a gold mine!

I use Adwords. It works well for me. I have tweaked to the point where I make $1.50 for every $1.00 spent. My daily budget is $1,300.00

This seems like a possible area for someone to make good money by consulting.

I have lots of pages. I am sure some of them could generate more AdSense revenue than AdWords cost -- if the AdWords campaign was designed correctly.

I am also very certain that I do not know enough to design an AdWords campaign that well.

Funny, I contacted my AdWords rep at Google about this exact thing. She's going to help me with my ROI. I think the first to go will be the affiliate programs I'm advertising for, they aren't paying for themselves.

Most likely I'll start using AdWords just to advertise products/services that I'm selling where the profit is worth it.

If your website is meaningless, doesn't sell anything and built exclusively for AdSense like it did thousands of people, then in order to get even a little traffic you must consider a possibility to get it from AdWords. This is where you are right now, right? Good luck. Trick the visitors, earn your "hardly fought" money.

Google used to be really good and my site actually made money. However, recently, it cost me too much money to get the people in from Google. Usually I break even advertising with them. There are many other smaller search engines which are much better. Try searchfeed.com

I think Adwords can be good to get a forum active.. 10$-30$(spend 0.10 cent per visitor) money on Adwords each day in a few month can really help the site to get more active. But keep the site very active, attractive and usefull all time you use it. And optimize the Adwords in the first weeks.
