    Yes u can download, i use this site. Just enter URL and download. U need VLC or FLV player to play the video.

    I guess I should have asked, what is the best way to download YouTube videos?

    I'd like to upload them to a site for others to view. Embedding is not an option, in this case.

    I got this yesterday, absolutely free and it's amazing! I can honestly say I didn't think there was a free program like it. You enter the youtube URL, and press download..it can download straight to MP4, AVI etc, and on that site there are other tools to convert to formats.
