Well Microshaft may have the cash but I'm not sure everyone would sell up, especially not to Microdaft.

Not possible, the anti trust regulations will not allow them to do so, Youtube is Google's, Paypal is under another powerful force Ebay.

Yahoo and MSN altogether will only nake up for max 20 persent of the saerch engine market. Separately the are loosing positions to Google. So what is so bad if the get united. The new brand would attract more than each 5th Internet user... Right now Google is basically a monopolist in the internet serach market

Impossible, Ebay and Google will never sell to Microsoft. If anything happened, Google would be buying Microsoft. Give it some time. ;)

    As at today

    Google
    Market Cap: 158.55B

    Microsoft
    Market Cap: 270.55B

    Ebay
    Market Cap: 37.58B

A bit hard for Google at the moment of time to swallow something nicely twice its size.

I think Apple should buy Google and go dominate the face off of any search engine that thinks they can do better. If Apple owned Google... it would rule like crazy!!!
