Where do you usually buy high pr links for cheap, I mean really cheap, no matter what site it is..? thanks for any ideas
for sale / advertising sections of forums. namepros, digitalpoint, dnforum mainly. if by cheap you mean $20 or $25 per year.
are you serious about that? Never used dnforum, should try it sometime.. is it better to get links? By high PR I mean mostly PR6 and over.. I'd like a PR8, but it's $100/month, though I don't care about the site, it could even be a link farm, full of viagra and child porn.. as long as it's PR8
they come along every once and awhile... luck and timing, mostly, but it happens. 6,7,8 i think are high for that range. check some forums, you never know. good luck.
some people have no sense of humor, I just got this in this thread.. ok, so for those, mentally puzzled to understand a simple sarcasm, I don't support child porn did anyone buy pr links on ebay, how are the prices there..?
I bought links twice on eBay, never again. A PR8 link for $30/mo was from some African new website. Turns out the page wasn't even indexed in Google, it was supplemental. Just yesterday I bought a PR7 link for $9 and it was a scraper site designed to look like an authority site and a PR hijack attempt. The site, of course, was not cached nor had any backlinks. The seller is fighting the paypal chargeback as we speak. See, the problem is that none of the sellers seem to want to give the URL where you site will be listed, until after you've won the auction. Now I'm not saying they all are junk, but both of these sellers had hundreds of feedback an had ratings of 100%. I think if you stay around the PR4 - 6 range on eBay you'll probably be fine, but the higher PR you've got to really worry about.
WOW, I never used ebay to buy anything actually so far, but I've heard lots of horror stories like this one.. Anyways the prices sound very cheap, so was it just your "luck" or the real links are more expensive in ebuy too? If they had excellent feedback, did they forge it, or something? Because wasting high feedback to cheat on just one small link is strange also thanks for your comment md
As with all links it is best to do some checking before purchasing and most legitimate places will let you see the url first. Otherwise as mentioned above, you get ripped off. The digital point forum here has some awesome link opportunities, but hate to say it, there are a few dodgy people in there aswell, so do the proper checks on the pages and backlinks to see if things add up. Otherwise if you want to go commercial, just do a search in google for "buy text link ads" and there are plenty of sites in there. Brad
lol. good to know. I've received PR 7/9 from a very high ranking forum... posting backlinks. No idea if it has had any effect yet, posted about a month ago and try to revisit and post every once in a while, come up with new high-PR links.
Of course it sometimes pays to gamble on new sites. I've just bought one on another thread that looks promising. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=58012
Hi Michael You could also try http://botw.org/helpcenter/sponsor.aspx they have a 60 day special where you can sponsor a category - I signed up for my 60 days and got a (essentially FREE) link from a pr 6 page - it was also a good trial if it actually sent me traffic then I'd consider paying their annual fee to list my site or keep the sponsoring going... I've had the link there for 5 weeks and have had (had to go and look this up) 2 referrals from them, suffice to say I'll cancel the sponsorship before the 60 days is up... others might have had better luck?
We found auctions/sales for links on someone else's site with an automated link exchange script that anyone could add a link to. Fill out the form, submit and refresh the page to see your link. If they gave you the URL, you wouldn't need to pay them. Once the link is paid for and posted, most will assume that it was added by the site owner or webmaster.
What do you define as cheap? I am selling PR5 (should be 6 after the next update) KingBloom Directory Links for $15/mo. PR6 Hosting Links for hostdrive.com for $50/mo. and PR4 Pottery links for $10/mo. off of McCoyPottery.com.
The forums are usually the best places, but remember: PR can be faked using a redirect - the site will look like a PR8, but is really a PR0. Buying from via an established member on DP, you shouldn't have to worry very much as there are too many savvy members watching. Each page can pass approximately 85% of its Page Rank, but that is divided between all out going links. A $25 link on a PR6 site can be a better deal than a $25 PR7 link with a lot more outgoing links. The right PR5 link could be pass more PR that both of them. If you are just trying to increase PR and not rankings, then don't worry about the type of site (obviously you don't want bad neighborhood links), however, a high PR link from a non-related site isn't going to help you with SERPS. There are also sites that can block (javascript, no follow tag, etc), or have their PR blocked from passing by google. A lot of high PR sales don't have the url posted because google is always watching and is cracking down on sites that are in the business of selling PR. I've seen quite a few directories lose PR on inner pages lately. The best high PR links I have were free from edu sites that placed a link after a request. Of course the site has to be relevant.
I would define that as average, may be even expensive, but not cheap.. I mean if you have a good authority sites and selling homepage links it's probably cheap, but generally, I'd consider a good deal if you offer pr6 link for under $100 for 6 months or pr8 link for up to $300 in 6 month.. mjewel, thanks for your cooment, I know that
