    Do a search in Google, then just add
    to the end of the page URL.

    That should give you the results as if you were searching from the US.

    you can also try this:
    when I go directly to Google in a browser, by default, it redirects me to google.ca but if I search from the Google toolbar, it returns results from google.com

    You could also click on "Setting" next to the search bar and check the country and language that you require.
