What is your Alexa Rank?

Oh dear me, you guys do realise that Alexa rank means absolutly nothing right?

Alexa rank is so easy to cheat that it means absolutly nothing. Alexa traffic rank is just the amount of people who visit the site using the Alexa toolbar or if you site has a widgit on how many times the widget is clicked also.

So if your site is to do with internet marketing then your going to have a better alexa rank due to more of the visitors will have the Alexa toolbar also if you have an Alexa toolbar and visit your site everyday guess what your going to have a better Alexa rank. You can even use scripts to cheat the system aswell, it is such a pointless rank.

What matters is your real traffic and the conversion rate of that traffic to sales from your business. I would prefer to have 10 visitors who all bought the produt that was being sold on the site rather than have 1,000,000 visitors that used an Alexa toolbar but yet none of them bought the product that was for sale.

 

Damn your good - I've had a hell of a time even getting in the top 100k.

On the site I just launch, my one week average is 166k. My highest is my oldest, 296k.

 

Great job mate! Which industry is your site based around?

We're personally at only 73,717 with our top site iphoneworld.ca one year after launch but have several other ones that are in 100-200k range.

I used to own a teen forum and I told everyone to download the alexa toolbar and my alexa was in the top 7k. Alexa is a joke though all it takes is something like that to flaw the system. Anyways great numbers for such a new site =).

my site rank is 1,475724,07181 and it;s very bad ranking

 

my site is 4 month old and rank is 65k. it was 40k a month ago. but i dont hav time to manage my site.

Don't take this the wrong way or anything but Alexa ranking really meads nothing.

1st, it is extremely easy to manipulate. I can get a brand new domain under 40K within 7 days.

2nd, does it matter? Would you purchase vs. not purchase based on Alexa? Visit vs. Non Visit?

3rd, does Alexa make you more profitable??? No it does not, unless your looking to "sell" your site as being ranked xxx on Alexa.


I don't mean to ruin your happiness on this but just wanted you to know that when you come back down from the cloud that the accomplishment is nice but overall it is not going to mean much.

Well done - I checked out your site and it looks sharp. My main site (in my sig) has an alexa of 130,000 - the highest I ever got it was about 50k -

 

It doesn't matter how many people visit your site if you aren't converting them. If 1 million people passed though the doors at Walmart, turned around and walked back out then they have failed. The goal to building a great website isn't how many visitors you recieved. It's how many of those stayed on your site and surfed around, did you convert them into a buyer and how many are repeat visitors. My focus is on building great content, a site that flows well rather than talking about some ranking.

You are wrong. Higher ranking = earn you more money and easier to sell in house ad.

My best ranked site on Alexa is 45K, but is under 10K in four countries.

And what do you think about the t-shirt phrase ?
"0.00345% my site rocks!" -> It's really funny
