Let's think about linking from site A to site B and then back from B to A. I know this is not a good thing to do for SEO. However, I have 2 sites hosted on the same hosting account (same IP C-class server) and I have linked from my site A to my site B (the sites are related). Is this bad? Can this drop rankings of my sites (because the sites are hosted on the same IP)?
Won't drop your rankings..rather, at most the links will be discounted heavily so that they don't count at all
no it's not bad. the links may not count for much, but you have to be doing a whole lot more than this for G to start penalising, discounting etc. Google are looking for huge link farms, not 2 sites owned by one person. most of th internet would be penalised if this were the case crack on with getting decent links from other sites into yours
It's not harmed till now.. Not sure about the future, but I linked my Ranked sites on same server to each other and the big G counts it.
it's not bad, this is what the internet is all about, you are just saying: reciprocal linking is not bad or dead, it's very natural, just dont over-do it. good luck.
