I have a main site and I've just added a forum to it. I would like to know how I can get the threads indexed faster and whether there is an automatic sitemap generator for the posts only which won't make a hundred duplicates.
- Add forum link to your DP signature. - create a sitemap - buy some back links - post links in your main page
1.Get Backlinks 2.Get some signatures in other forums especially in DP 3.Try to post contents in other forums similar to yours with links to your forum 4.Post exclusive tips 5.Make the forum opened 6.Use some bookmarkings like DIGG,STUMBLE etc Try these tips
Backlinks are the way to go. You can submit free on my directory if you like, think you will get fast indexing too This forum is also great for indexing, just like Markas said
Hey, do you also use the VBSeo Sitemap generator plug in? I've just configured it but it says it's saving the sitemap at http://www.hannahmontanazone.com/sitemap_1.xml.gz but when I go there it's "Page not found" and I can't find the generated sitemap when I browse through the files in the directory either. However, when I run the sitemap generator it says it's successful and gives me a report of all the links included but that sitemap is nowhere to be seen! I've changed the save location so I can add it to my Google webmaster account, to my current site instead of /forum. But what puzzles me is that even at the old location which was http://www.hannahmontanazone.com/forums/sitemap_1.xml.gz you can see the sitemap online but I can't find the .xml.gz file anywhere in the forums directory .
