Is Google Adsense not for Indians from Feb 1? No applications accepted so far.

No I don't think. I have the same message on my local language(Slovak) site. They doesn't support referrals in other languages than English, I think

 

It doesn't mean that if your friends got denied, Google will deny all the new publisher from India. One of my friends got the approval mail yesterday only.

 

oh man, and what about people in india who already have adsense accounts, are they gonna close our accounts?

 

I don't think so. India has thousands of publishers. they can't do that.

 

Unless they're cheating the system or violating the TOS..

 

The sites that have been submitted for approval must be sucking big time. Change your sites and try to mention to your friends not to make sites that are just there for ads and skewed content.

Also, India itself as a country constitutes 23% or 24% of overall world fraud, so ask your friends also to refrain from the same.

 

No dude.. I got approved just a week back and I live in PUNE. I don't think they are rejecting all applications. May be your friends might have applied earlier too and that's why they got rejected OR maybe they got content which violates T&C. Please post link of their sites if possible

i thnk google is refining it s system and removing unwanted and junk websites frm its program

 

They just check for your profile. If i matches with yours earlier (if you had applied) or similar to anyone else e.g. Name, address then you get rejected. Regarding IP addresses - I am not sure. I think they allow multiple account registrations from same IP address, provided all users are unique (according to google) because if they don't allow, then what about the people working in a company and registering their adsense account from office. They all would have same IP ?!!

 

NOP! haven't heard of any such thing ! I guess the site's were not as per their guidelines

 

It is possibility to also gain IP address of computer joined by proxy server in offices, I think.

Interesting topic... I read on Shuman's blog (Shuman = the Google dude in charge of adsense) that India and China were two hot spots of click fraud, and for that reason the fraud detection team keeps a watchful eye on them. But that's as much as he said.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised if the "watchful eye" translated into rejecting 99% of new applicants. It would be nice to read more about this, but Google is tight-lipped enough as it is.

 

Guys we are beating this topic to death. We all know Google is not banning any country it is site or account specific. Thousands of people from India are still making money from Adsense. Yes, Click fraud could be other reason to get sites or account banned.

me too , is not related to India , maybe to all non english countries or something like this ...or not enough advertisers to run referrals for some countries or not interested to run referrals outside US , Uk e.t.c
